Northern Michigan offers an enchanting variety of water ways: lakes, spirited or serene; rivers, wide or braided; creeks, swift or meandering. Missaukee Paddle Sports has two locations making it convenient for you to access our local waters.
Our first is Nancy's Landing on the east shore of sparkling Lake Missaukee, in the heart of downtown Lake City. Lake Missaukee is often referred to as "everyone’s favorite swimming hole.”
Or second location is at Ben Jeffs Muskegon River Park on M-55 and the Muskegon River. The Muskegon River is a secret gem of a river. It is less traveled and less populated than other rivers in the area.
With a multitude of other lakes and rivers within our reach, our settings are ideal. We invite you to join us for a paddle on the water of your choosing. You are sure to love it.
Muskegon River Cleanup 2008
Our second-annual river cleanup was quite a success. Fifty-three volunteers collected nearly 2,500 pounds of trash from along 35 miles of the Muskegon River. We would like to thank our volunteers, co-coordinator Missaukee Conservation District, and our supporters: Butterfield Township, White Birch Canoe, Houghton Lake Lake Association, Lake View Motel & Gift Shop, Marty's Pizza, A&L Party Store, Foster's Supermarket, Americorps, and Muskegon River Watershed Assembly.
River Trips
Missaukee Paddle Sports offers river trips on the both the Muskegon and Manistee Rivers. Trip lengths range from 2 hours to 3 days.
